Things I liked: Great rifle smooth easy to cock, nice trigger very accurate. Need to get it out in the open field as I've only been shooting in back yard which is pretty small.

Things I would have changed: Not really anything I would change great gun for the price.

What others should know: Make sure you have a good back stop if your going to be shooting in the back yard, shes packs a punch.

Things I liked: 21 FPE with Crosman Premier HP 14.3 grain pellets at an average of 820 FPS.

Things I would have changed: The hollow cavity in the butt stock. A weaver rail. The scope does not hold its zero. Forearm is too wide for a day of comfortable field carry.

What others should know: Gamo claims up to 1000 FPS. The best I could get over my chronograph was an average of 820 FPS, which produced a respectable 21 FPE at the muzzle. More than enough energy for small game out to 50 yards. With the harsh forward/reverse recoil, the dove tail rail does not offer enough surface tension or mechanical stops to hold the scope mounts securely, which causes the scope to loose zero after about 30 shots. The hollow cavity in the butt stock is like having your football helmet on and the couch hits it with his keys to get your attention. It really rings your ear when the shot releases while holding a good cheek weld. This rifle is anything but quiet. I got an average of 103 DB. My 22 long rifle shooting CB shorts, is only 99DB and that is without any suppression. Gamo has no truth in advertising. If you live in the city and want this rifle for plinking in your back yard, be prepared to see the police. Accuracy is acceptable for field hunting, not punching bragging sized groups.

The Gamo Mach1 Pigman Edition .22 Caliber EGT Air Rifle is the second of two high powered break barrel pellet rifles I have purchased. The first was the Gamo Whisper Fusion Pro .177 caliber pellet rifle which you can read about here.
Since purchasing this gun I have shot it countless times and found it to be extremely accurate right out of the box. As is the case with all Gamo airguns I have had the pleasure of shooting, this one is built to last. The normal price of the Mach1 Pigman Edition is around $349. I happened to find mine while it was on sale for about $249 which made it more affordable.Edition

Gamo Mac 1 Pigman Edition Release

Cons:

The only complaint I have about this rifle is that the quality of the scope that is included with it does not come close to matching the quality of the gun. If you like shooting with open sights, you'll be set right out of the box once you sight it in. If you want to shoot it with a scope, plan on spending some extra money to purchase a new scope. The scope I chose is the Leapers UTG 3-9x40 AO Illuminated Reticle True Hunter Scope.
