Run Windows-based Programs on a Mac
Click on the game in your library to launch it. Steam will begin installing it normally, or it will just launch the game if the game’s already installed. In most cases the game will open and run, exactly like a native Linux game would. Yes, that’s how easy Steam Play makes it.
- Crossover is just official wine builds w/ an easy to use UI and a support center you can contact for help. It is decent for compatibility with windows programs. Its effectiveness for playing games is just as hit or miss as wine is though.
- The easiest way this works is you need a Windows running machine first, install the game on it, then copy that installed folder onto your Mac. Then, run OpenRCT2 on the Mac and when the program asks for the game folder, you direct it to the folder you transferred earlier.
